In 1991 location filming in Vilkovo took place for the feature film “Whirlpool”. Alexander Jatsko, an Honored Artist, played the main role in the movie. “Whirlpool” is a movie- parable. It tells the story about the people who have been held hostages to a bygone era. Asceticism of one and the confusion of another, obsessed with the belief that you one get back to his/her roots and start all over again, does not help the heroes to escape the historical predetermination of fate.
   Oleg Tulaev is a director of the movie, Igor Talpa acted as the movie’s producer.
   Igor Talpa is well known as a director and a scriptwriter to the feature films of “Sarmat” and “Code Name”.
   “Whirlpool” was presented in the Film Market Festival “Window to Europe-94” (Vyborg, Russia).
